Stephen D. Ratcliffe Community Health Center has been presented with the 2009 HealthInsight Quality Award for demonstrating high quality care and their commitment to excellence in health care. The award is presented by HealthInsight, a private, non profit community based organization dedicated to improving the health care systems of Nevada and Utah.

The HealthInsight Quality Award is presented annually to physician office practices that are successful with the adoption of health information technology; use care management methods regularly, participate in a data reporting quality initiative; and achieve exemplary performance on nationally-recognized quality measures related to diabetes, cancer screening, and immunizations.

“We have made significant improvements in our care practices,” said Dr. Sarah Woolsey. The steps we are taking to improve quality are resulting in better care for our patients now and in the future.” The clinic has been utilizing computer software to track all of its' diabetic patients progress with control of this chronic disease. “HealthInsight commends Stephen D.
